COVID-19 isn’t just a health crisis, it’s a disinformation crisis.
As the spread of rumours and unverified information spreads fear and uncertainty, ethnocultural communities face unique risks. In particular, these community members face multiple barriers in accessing credible information as resources aren’t always available in their home language. These barriers are further magnified by the complex life circumstances that each individual faces.
C19 Response Coalition focuses on equipping communities that are marginalized through race, language, and income with the tools to navigate the current abundance of COVID-19 information. We empower communities by sharing correct, up-to-date information and resources so that they are able to make informed decisions for themselves and their communities’ health during these unprecedented times. This website is an accessible platform for multilingual and credible resources in which we are prioritizing language and culture.
Our Goal
To empower Chinese-, Vietnamese-, and Filipino-Canadian citizens to take the proper precautions and make informed decisions for themselves and the broader community during the COVID-19 health emergency.
Who We Are
